Lang, Johann, Prof. Dr. (University of Berne, Switzerland)
Prof. Dr. Lang graduated in 1977 in Bern, Switzerland. After training in large animal radiology in Bern, he was resident in small animal radiology at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Based on his research on diagnosis and pathogenesis of cauda equina compression in dogs he obtained the venia docendi in radiolgy. He is Diplomate and former president of the ECVDI (Europ. College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging), member of the EAVDI (Europ. Ass. of Vet. Diagnostic Imaging) and IVRA (Director), and other professional societies. Bern is a recognised and also successful training centre for residents of the ECVDI. Dr. Langs special interest are in the field of neuroradiology and increasingly in sonography of the GI system. He was and still is interested and active in curriculum development. Currently he is chief of the small animal radiology section at the Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine in Bern and consultant in a small animal referral centre (TÜZ) near Basel.
