Dr. Joël Dehasse
DVM (1979), is certified in animal behaviour (1998) and family therapy (1998). He has been involved in animal behaviour for more than 20 years and for 13 years and devotes his full time to this specific activity: behaviour consultations, supervision of colleagues, consultant and expert with societies (pet food firms, pharmaceutical firms, lawyers, insurers), lecturer at national and international meetings.
He is a founder and was President (2002) of ECVBM-CA (European College of Veterinary Behavioural Medicine – Companion Animals), a founder and was President (1997 – 2002) of ESVCE (European Society of Veterinary Clinical Ethology), a founder and President of GERC (Groupe Belge d‘Etude et de Recherche en Comportement des Animaux de Compagnie - SAVAB). He is an author of a professional book on dog aggression, one on cat behaviour, of several popular books on dog and cat behaviour and popular and scientific articles.
