Outline: Basics of wound healing and wound care (including types of dressings, etc)
10:30-11:30 Basic reconstruction techniques: subdermal flaps
Outline: Advancement, rotation, transposition and interpolation flaps, including Skin fold flaps
11:50-12:35 Basic reconstruction techniques: axial pattern flaps
Outline: Principle of axial pattern flaps, caudal superficial epigastric flap +/- 1 or 2 others
12:35-13:05 Basic reconstruction techniques: distant flaps
Outline: Tunellisation and pouching
14:00-15:00 How to open, explore and close the abdomen
15:00-15:45 Surgery of the stomach
Outline: Gastrotomy, gastropexy +/- simple gastrectomy (no Billroth)
16:15-17:30 Surgery of the small intestines
Outline: Fundamental principles, enterotomy, enterectomy
17:30-18:15 Surgery of the large intestine

Outline: Basic knowledge on urolithiases, urethral obstruction, feline PU, canine scrotal U
11:45-12:45 Surgery of the ovaries and uterus
Outline: OV, OVH, Cesarean section (including a bit of anaesthesia and basic care to the neonates)
14:00-14:45 Abdominal biopsy techniques
Outline: Biopsies of intestines, kidneys, liver, spleen, pancreas +/- prostate
14:45-15:30 The fast splenectomy
Outline: Splenectomy in 3-4 ligatures
16:00-16:45 The use of the omentum in surgery
Outline: Use of omentum in abdomen but also in wounds, reconstruction, etc.
16:45-18:15 Septic peritonitis: keys to success
Outline How to diagnose SP early, how to treat it efficiently
