Neurology I, July 20 - 24, Berne / Switzerland - held

TOPICS

This intensive training is mainly structured on problem solving teaching and case based oriented learning

• Principles of the neurological examination including physiology, anatomy of the central nervous system (CNS) as well as peripheral nervous system (PNS)

• Problem solving: Localisation, theory and practical application. Case presentations and video sessions.

• Problem solving: Mono-/Para-/Tetraparesis/-plegia and head tilt. Practical work-up of neurological cases (POA). Clinical duty, video sessions and case presentations.

• Problem solving: Behaviour and mental changes, seizures and visual dysfunction. Practical handling of neurological cases (POA). Clinical duty, video sessions and case presentations.

• Problem solving: Signs related to cranial nerve dysfunction and ataxia of the head and limbs. Practical work-up of neurological cases (POA). Clinical duty, video sessions and case presentations. Review of sessions.
